Hi guys, just a short one today.


I've had a little blip, which you can probably tell because I haven't posted for two weeks. I've had months of dieting and to tell you the truth, I just wanted to eat chocolates, cake and ice-cream, yes, ice-cream.


However, I decided to try and maintain my weight for those two weeks and to cut a long story short, I put on........half a pound. And the truth is, I was tempted to give up, have a break, maintain my weight over Christmas than go back in the new year, but my sister said we should go, and she was right. We are in it together.


Which means, I've still lost 2 stone, go me. I'm back on my healthy eating plan and I want to lose 2 Ib this week. I want to be 12stone 7Ibs by Christmas Eve. It's attainable and I'm going to do it. 


I did my bronze fitness award but I've decided that I don't want that award  because I didn't lose weight, so I'm going to start again from Monday, will get it by Christmas Eve. 


I'm still pleased with my weight loss, half a pound could be a cup of tea...yea right.


I've recently bought two size sixteen tops and today, I bought some size 16 knickers. Im was feeling chuffed because I was a size 18-20. Probably a size 18 on the hips, but I haven't bought any trousers or skirts lately so I don't know. I told my husband and he said, ' But knickers stretch don't they? Thanks!


So weight is now 12stone 13Ibs. 

Loss so far is 2 stone.

Hi, I hope you are all well and thank you for reading my blog.

How did my week go?

Once again, Wednesday was my downfall but worse than that, I was poorly with a sore throat, headache and a cold. I'm much better now, although I  still have the odd coughing fit, but my head's clear, that's the main thing. 

I've swapped the grapes for Satsumas now and I'll see how that goes as they are referred to as speed foods.

I'm exercising now. In order to get my bronze award sticker I have to do 45 minutes of exercise a week split over three days or more in spurts of 5,10 or 15 minutes. I have to do this for 4 weeks. 

Last week, although I was poorly, I did 47 minutes, I even trotted around the house for 2 minutes, yes, I was nearly running. 

I do Saturday to Saturday, and I've walked around the marina for 45 minutes today, at a bit of a pace, so that means I've done my lot for the next week. Yay. 

However, I will do some more in the week. But one week under my belt. 

I bought three size 16 tops and they fit. Yay, I was an 18/20. Although my trousers and skirts are baggy, I've yet to buy some new ones because I'm not sure I'm a size 16 on my bottom half yet. 

Here we go then.

Last week:           12st, 13.5 pounds
This week:           12st  12.5 pounds
Weigh loss:          1   pound
Total weigh loss: 2st and half a pound.

Saturday 1st October


Hi, thanks for popping by and I hope you all had a great week.

Just to let you know, I'm not that into Orange Kit Kats now. No, I've moved onto Caramac, other chocolate bars are available in many stores. lol.

I included two of them in my diet, not all in one go, over the week of course and as sins. I ate each one slowly and it seemed to satisfy my sweet tooth. 

Caramac - Calories 169 per bar.
                  Sins        8.5 sins

I had a blip on Wednesday... again. I'm going to have to keep some calories/sins by to allow for that. 

I made better choices this week and I ate plums and grapes until they came out of my ears. 


I've noticed a change in my attitude towards food over the last few weeks, I'm not so uptight about it. That might be because I've eaten healthier food and less cakes and sweeties. Although there is a lot of sugar in grapes. 

I love socialising with my friends and family and that often occurs in coffee shops, so rather than worrying about what cakes I can't eat, I take my high fibre bar and have that instead. It's healthier, lasts a while and is good for me too. Yummy.

My hubby supports my weight loss all the way and often makes lovely comments about how I look. He used to do that no matter what weight I was but now they're usually related to my weight loss. lol

Well, yesterday, he looked at me and said, ' Your arms are getting really skinny.' Lol,
I DON'T WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT ON MY ARMS! lol

Somebody brought in a courgette at slimming club this morning, they'd planted it themselves and it was huge, which was the cause of a lot innuendo at the slimming club this morning. More people stayed and we had a good session. 

Here we go...

Weight last week: 13 stone and 1 pound.
Weight this week: 12 stone 13.5 pounds.
Weight loss:                           1.5 pounds.
Weight loss altogether:1 stone and 13.5 pounds. 
Or 27.5 pounds. 

I hope these figures make sense because suddenly I've gone number blind.

I AM HALF A POUND AWAY FROM LOSING TWO STONE....HALF A POUND!

So what is that equal too....
For the sake of argument, I'm going to top it up to 2 stone. 

According to the internet, two stones is equal to:
About 33 cans of fizzy pop.
66 average size oranges
A baby polar bear.

Obviously I can't weigh all that, but doesn't seem right to me, but hey.

Hi, and no, I haven't given in, just haven't got around to doing my blog. Procrastination seems to be my second name where my blog is concerned. I'll try to get back to writing it weekly, but the good news is, I no longer have writers block and have started a new book. Whoops, wrong blog. 

Well, here's my life story. I went on holiday a few weeks back and had a lovely time with my family. So, I missed the club the Saturday before I went and the Saturday I came back.

Despite this, I did weigh myself when I got back off my holiday and I had stayed the same. Go me. 

To cut a long long story short, I went last week and lost one and a half pounds and this week, I stayed the same. 

So that means in roughly four weeks I've  lost one and a half pounds. So one and a half pounds divided by 4 is pants. I won't embarrass myself by trying to work that out. But I still lost. That's the silver lining.

This week I hope to lose 2 but anything will do me as I have to get back on track, as I've been naughty some days, oh alright, most days last week. Let me show you how much.

I tucked into:

Orange Kit Kats
Magnum ice-cream lollies
Jelly babies
Frys chocolate cream
Lemon tart
Scone cream and jam
99 calorie Cadbury chocolate bars... all six.
And there only the ones I can remember.
Chinese takeaway

A perfect example of what not to eat. 
I also forgot what vegetables and fruit looks like.

Weight on the 27th August 13st 2.5 pounds.
Weight on the 24th September 13st Ib
Weight loss in roughly 4 weeks 1.5Ibs sob sob.

TOTAL LOSS SO FAR equals 1 STONE AND 12 POUNDS OR 26 POUNDS. Just two pounds away from 2 stone, the question is, will I manage it next week or the week after. 

26 pounds according to online sources is equivalent to...

A two year old toddler.
A baby dolphin
30 pack of beer, I think that means 30 cans.
2 small microwaves. Don't believe that.

Plan of action.

More meat, veg and fruit, less sweets, cakes, biscuits and ice-cream.

Hi, I hope you all had a great week.


Me and my sister didn't go last week because she was poorly and I think I may have lost some last week, but can't be sure. However, we've just returned from our weekly meeting and my sister lost three pound which makes two stone. Yay.


I went off the rails Wednesday big time. For some reason I fancied everything in sight and everything in the cupboard had 'come and eat me' written all over it; and of course, I felt obligated to do that. However, the good news is, I did get back on my diet on Thursday which will show up next week...or not.

I'm always hungry from the moment I get up, and I know, that once I start eating I'm at it for the rest of the day. So, I've been eating a high fibre bar each morning which seems to take the edge of the hunger pains. Then I wait as long as possible before I have my breakfast and it seems to be working for me.  That way, I find I can control my eating habits until lunchtime. Obviously, we all have different ways of coping. 

Whether it's because Summer is coming to an end I find that strawberrries are really pants lately and they don't seem to last as long, even in the fridge. There's some out there now and I'm trying to force myself to eat them so they don't get wasted. And I don't mean I'm going to marinate them in gin. The trouble is they're trying to turn themselves into jam and you can image what the red slushy things look like. Not only that, I nearly ate a small green fly on one of them and since then, I've gone of them a bit.

Honestly, it was that small, I thought it was a strawberry seed. Needless to say, I've been washing my fruit ever since, which I should have been doing in the first place. 

 Here we go then.

Weight two weeks ago:13 stone and 4Ibs.

Weight this week:         13 stone and 2.5 Ibs.

Weight loss:                  1.5 Ibs. Over two weeks.

Total weight loss:          1 stone and 10.5 Ibs

                                      Or 24.5Ibs


So really, I probably lost that last week and stayed the same this week because I ate and ate and ate, but didn't make myself sick.


Rounding it up to 25Ibs this means that this about...

Two ten pound bowling balls

2 laptops.


I have been doing ten minutes of walking around the house every day. It's a start, stop laughing. I usually put the telly up loud and listen to the news as I walk around downstairs. I must admit, for half an hour after, I feel enthused and ready to face the world, then I turn the telly down, sit on the sofa and dream of  Crunchie bars, flakes and Caramac, then I go and get some delicious apples that taste like wet earth and eat them. Yummy. Other varieties of chocolate are available. 


I've been eating English plums this week and they are yummy and you can get a whole punnet of them for one pound in most shops, even the high end shops. 


So this week, I'm going to try and stay clear of cakes and chocolate and stick to the heavy duty stuff like fruit, meat, veg and fish, not so much of the fish. Even though a crunchie bar keeps appearing before my eyes.

Hi, I hope you all had a good week.

There's nothing much to tell this week so I'll keep it brief. My sister was poorly and I had things I wanted to do so we didn't go to Slimming Club this week.

The good news is, my sister is feeling loads better. Yay!

According to my scales, I may have  lost one, or one and half pounds.

Changes this week...

I did ten minutes exercise each day and we all went for a paddle in the sea today, and last Sunday. Living by the sea I can count on two hands how many times I have been in the sea but we're going to do it every week from now on. Not in the Winter. lol

At the moment I'm eating two Gala apples cut into pieces so that they will last me a long time. Then I'm going to attack some plums, the fruit variety. Oh dear, did I really say that! lol. I'm still keeping it in. lol.

I'll be carrying on with my ten minutes of exercise a day. Fingers crossed, because me and exercise don't hit it off.

Hi guys, hope you are all well.


My week wasn't brilliant, in fact, on Wednesday I had a melt down. I ate healthily for a few hours, but then I fancied something nice.  Recognising the danger signs I ate some strawberries and some apples which didn't work. 

I was craving big time, so I ate a couple of snack a jacks and some pink and whites, but no, I still wasn't satisfied. Then suddenly, I had a brain freeze and forgot that sweets, cakes and biscuits are ok in moderation but not when you eat:

A Crunchie bar

A chocolate ice-cream

Biscuits

A piece of coffee cake 

Another crunchie ( because they were under 200

                                calories each, I thought that 

                                 was cool.)

All in ten minutes or less.

You're joking I hear you say, and I'll reply by saying NO I'M NOT! 

You might then ask, did I feel guilty and I will say boldly. NO! NO! NO! Which really means, yes a bit, but it's too late, it happened and I had to move on. 

So, I started back on my healthy eating plan, hoping that only being naughty for one day, I mean ten minutes, wouldn't mean I'd ruined it for the week.

I expect you realise I'm a bit miffed


As you can imagine, when I got up this morning, I was hoping that I would at least stay the same weight. 


It was a great meeting at Slimming Club this morning, we had a good laugh and we all left a  part of us in the room. We got to know each other a little better which is cool. That's the good thing about going to a meeting, we're all in the same postion and we all understand how hard it is to stay on plan. 

Now, what I'm about to divulge to you may not seem important to many people, but for me, a couch potato, it is. I've decided to do at least ten minutes exercise a day. Which means, I'll be walking around the house for ten minutes. I'm giggling now because I realise how silly that sounds. lol

If I go shopping, I'll count walking around the shops as the ten minutes. 

After a couple of weeks of that, I might start walking up and down the stairs more often. I SAID I MIGHT!

Ok, and now for the important bit.

Weight last week: 13 stone and five pounds.

Weight this week: 13 stone and four pounds

Weight loss:             1 pound. YES. YES. YES.

Total loss:              One stone and nine pounds or

                               23 pounds.


This is equivalent to:

The amount of pizza an average American eats in a year. 

348 roses, not sure if that's just the petals or the whole plant lol.

4 Chihuahua's

Just over 2 gallons of paint.


Tip of the week


If you have a bad day, get back on your healthy eating plan and it may not be as bad as you think. If it is, it's not the end of the world, forget it and start afresh the next day. After all, we're only human.

Hi, hope you are all well and have had a great week. Having had a busy week we all decided to stay in today, and when I looked at the TV listings I was happy to find that there was a Jane Austin film folllowed by a Catherine Cookson film on. What could be better, a day of crafts while watching my favourite authors on TV. All good so far...

Wrong, we only have terrestial tv and not digital which means, for the last two hours the signal has been breaking up. Luckily, it's been on more than off. And no, it doesn't matter that I've seen them both before.

 Que sera

And back in the room.

So, how did I do last week. Well, I had a wobble on Wednesday and from then on, I had to fill up with apples of every description possible. Plus strawberries and grapes.

I have to admit, I had a couple of crunchies in the week, although I did count them, and yesterday, I had a mini chocolate brownie with ice-cream. I also counted that, and they won't show until next week. 

I'm thinking about doing ten minutes exercise a day, it's still in the planning process at the moment and as we all know, when you send anything to the planners, it takes forever.

And now for the nitty gritty.

Weight last week: Hang on, telly has gone off again and I'm now watching England and Australia in the Commonwealth Games Hockey final and England are one goal up and are about eight minutes from half time.

Weight last week: 13 stone 6.5 pounds

Weight this week: 13 stone 5 pounds

Weight loss; 1.5 pounds 

Total loss so far -1 stone and 8 pounds or 22 pounds

I couldn't stay at the club this week but next week I should be getting my one and half stone award.

I've also lost 10% of my body weight.

Tip of the day

Make sure you eat healthy food because using all your sins up eating crunchies means you can't eat what seems like forever. Keep eating those veggies, fruit and low fat meat.

Hi all, hope you all had a good week. 

So, how did I do this week, Mmm. The good news is, my sister lost 5Ib's yay, yay and yay again. 

I wanted to lose 1.5 this week to get my one and half stone weight loss award and to have lost ten percent of my body weight. So did I do it?

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo


Am I annoyed - not as much as I thought I would be. I think the trouble was, at the beginning of the week I cut down drastically so by the middle of the week I was hungry and had to eat normally, if there is such a thing as normal for me and over the week I think the weight loss balanced out. I don't know that for sure, after all, it could have been  the two small crunchies or the victoria sponge which I'd been craving for weeks, which turned out to be a let down. Or it could have been the fact that I came off my diet on Friday and didn't bother to monitor what I ate. It could be all that, but probably wasn't. lol

I think I put too much pressure on myself, usually I just want to lose weight or stay the same, I'm going back to doing that. 

So, here we go.....

Weight last week: 13stone and 7.5 pounds

Weight this week: 13stone and 6.5 pounds

Weight loss           1 pound

Total loss so far:   1 stone and 6.5 pounds

or 20.5 pounds.


I am half a pound away from my one and half stone award.

HALF A POUND, YES, HALF A POUND.


Just in case you are interested, according to the internet 20 pounds is equivlaent to...

A standard car tyre which weighs between 20-22 pounds.

A tuna fish

A patio table... don't believe that.

A small sledge hammer. Hum!

It seems that three average bananas make up a pound, so quite a few. lol


Tip of the week

Eggs are a good filler and although it's cheating and an expensive way to buy eggs, you can buy two boiled eggs in a pack for around about a pound, and they are great for when you are desperate and they will fill you up quickly, then you won't need to eat cream donuts with artificial cream oozing out of the sides and have to wash it down with a frothy sugary latte. Sorry, I'm dreaming again.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to read my blog.

For the first half of last week, up to about Thursday, I was craving cake but I didn't give in. I stuffed my face with apples and hoped for the best.

I have a sweet tooth and it's a nightmare, although I do have fibre bars and low calorie bars to counter that

Although there really is nothing that can compare to a fresh fruit scone, topped with homemade jam, oozing with thick succulent clotted cream, washed down with a pot of tea. Hang on, I'll just wipe the drool off my chin.

Of course, if I sin it or count my calories, I'm allowed to have that, but it would mean I couldn't have the good stuff. You know what I mean, the type of food that is full of protein and vitamins that keeps you fit. In other words, everything that tastes boring. 

I was going to have a scone today after slimming club and count it, but I was starving and had a leek and cheese pasty instead. Pastry Danger! Danger! 

I had that about twelve and I'm not hungry yet, so at the moment, every mouthful was worth it, despite me only being able to have fruit for the rest of my day, because I also had a strawberry mouse. However, you'll be suprised to hear, that I didn't exceed my daily allowance of calories. I tend to resort to calories when I go off my diet and it seems to be working so far. 

The cheese and leek pasty was 776 calories and the mouse was about about 150, then I had a low fat yogurt and a fibre bar for breakfast which equals 150 so total about... hum!  Just getting my pad. Total calories - 1076. I aim for 1,200 to 1,300 a day which seems to give me a 1 or 1.5 weight loss a week. Bodies may vary. 

This was a one off but so far, I feel full and will fill up on apples if needs be, but I think I might feel a litttle guilty later when I think what I could have for that 776 calories. For a start, I could have had 2 chicken breasts and loads of veg. So, it goes without saying, my choices weren't good today, but they were yummy. lol

Ok. let's get down to the nitty gritty. 

Weight last week: 13stone and 9 pounds

Weight this week  13stone and 7.5 pounds

Weight loss:                              1.5 pounds

Total loss so far:                       19.5 pounds


I need to loose another pound and half to make it one and a half stone. I'm going to stick to my healthy eating plan from tomorrow lol, and write everything down to try and lose that. 

Rounding it up to 20 pounds, according to the net, twenty pound is roughly equivalent to...

The average weight of a melon is between 20-25 pounds.

The average office chair weighs about 20 pounds, I don't believe that.

Not sure about you, but some of this seems a bit far fetched, lol.

Thought for the day:

Write down what you eat and weigh as much as you can, guessing an amount can vary according to how hungry you are. After all, that odd bit of cheese or that small roast potato still has sins or calories, no matter how much you want to ignore that fact.

Thanks for reading my blog and have a great and healthy week, but if that biscuit accidentally jumps out of the biscuit tin and lands in your mouth, don't beat yourself up about it. It was one biscuit. 

Just forget about it and move on. Unless it's two or three and then you have to think again. If the whole tin gets stuck on your hand and the biscuits hold you hostage, then you may need to phone someone. lol

Tip

If you're hungry, core two apples and put them on a side plate. About twelve segments. They fill the whole plate and take a while to eat.

I won't lie, I found this week difficult and I had a relapse on Tuesday and started my healthy heating plan again on the Wednesday. 

Having eaten anything I like for most of my life, cutting down can be really hard sometimes. 

I have a sweet tooth which is the bane of my life and it can't always be satisfied with strawberries, apples or any fruit come to that. 

The good news is, I've found some snacky food that seems to help and it's not anything sweet. lol.

When I felt like stuffing my face after my blip on Tuesday, I suddenly found a well known variety of cracker along with a well known triangle of cheese and that seemed to take the edge of it, and it wasn't high in calories or sins. 

The well known brand of crackers was 35 calories or 1.5 sins and the triangular cheese was 1.5 sins or 33 calories. Not sure if I'm supposed to say brand names but you can guess what I'm talking about. lol. Anyway, four crackers and two triangles spread on them seemed to satisfy my hunger.

Apart from the obvious, my clothes are getting baggy and I don't feel like a donut any more, I noticed another thing. I followed my hubby up a flight of stairs in a shop and it wasn't until I got to the top, that I realised, that I'd walked up the stairs without huffing and puffing. Wow! lol.

And now for the moment of truth.

Weight last week. 13stone 11 and half pounds.

Weight this week: 13 stone and 9 pounds.

Weight loss/gain.  Lost 2 and half pounds. 

Total weight loss now is 1 stone and 4 pounds or as I like to put it, because it sounds more. 18 pounds. Yay.

According to the internet, 18 pounds is the same as:

The average weight of two cats.

About nine empty electric kettles.

Just over ten dozen eggs.

All seems a little far fetched to me, but if it's the case, then it's a good job the fat loss is spread evenly around my body. 

Thought for the day

Eating a two fingered kit kat, is not as satisfying as a large piece of cake. However, it does save you eating over 500 calories more.

Hi everyone, hope you all had a good week. Before I tell all, I need to tell you something. I didn't want to mention it last week because obviously, I didn't want it known to all and sundry, but I was on a mini break (holiday) and had five days off my diet. 

Not that you are 'all and sundry,' but we're not supposed to tell people when we're away, after all, others may steal all my strawberries, apples and grapes and then where will I be. 

Yes, I think I've dug myself into a hole there. lol.


I tried not to over eat too much but I need to tell you, that all the sweeties and alchol I consumed were not included as sins or calories. Nor were the chips, chocolate or crispy chicken. Now that I've painted that wonderful picture, time to get down to the nitty gritty. 

But first, a big well done to my sister who lost five pound this week and got a stone and half reward. 


Weight last week: 13stone and 11 pounds.

Weight this week:  13stone and 11.5 pounds.

Weight gain/Loss :  plus 0.5 pounds. 

Total weight loss:    15.5 pounds. 


So overall, I feel great. I may have only put a half on because we did a lot of walking. However, I did restart my diet yesterday and although I'm still keen, because I had that break, it's really hard getting back into it, but I'm not giving up, as I want to live as healthy a life as possible. 


From the moment I get up in the morning until I go to bed, I have to stop myself from eating everything I fancy because sadly, I don't eat to live, I live to eat. Not quite that bad but almost. I need some inspiration at the moment so I'm going to give myself a small goal for next week. 


I would like to lose 2 pound next week. The half I put on, and another one and half. I never normally do this because I'm just happy with any loss but I need to get myself motivated.

So, it's been two weeks since I got weighed. It was good to get back to the class and see everyone and today was a day of compliments. 'We can see you've lost weight' were the main remarks. I should just go every two weeks, if that's the case lol.  I was wearing black though, and we all know how flattering black can be.

I had a strawberry week this week and even now, I'm thinking about those little red things sitting forlornly in the fridge. 

Excuse me, I need to have a slurp of my diet pop as I need a sweet fix...again.

Yep, that hit the spot.


Next week is going to be a challenging week for me, I'll explain next week. Hopefully, it will work out fine, but we'll see. With that in mind, I wanted a good weight loss to make up for future events. 

Here goes. Bearing in mind it's been two weeks.

Weight two weeks ago: 14stone and one pound.
Weight now:                  13stone and 11 pounds
Weight loss:                   4 pounds. 
Total weight loss:           1 stone and two pounds
                                        or 16 pounds.


15 - 16 pounds according to the internet is roughly equivalent to:

A golf bag, no contents of course.
A toddler car seat (Really!)
A sperm whales brain. (OK, lol.)

Saturday 25th June 2022


Hi guys, just a quickie today. Me and my sister didn't go to Slimming Club this week because she has a bad cold and couldn't go. I didn't go either because I was in desperate need of two front tyres. You could say, that I'm 204 pounds lighter because that's how much they cost.

Saying that, my sister weighed herself on her scales and she was two pounds lighter and I weighed on mine and I'd lost about two pounds. Probably one and a half by the time I go to the club. So, next week, there should be a good weight loss for the both of us, providing we stay on track, which I think we will. 

Truthfully, I had a relapse on Wednesday and devoured every low calorie bar I called find. I was craving all night. Then, on Thursday, I shook myself down and started fresh again. Seems I'm listening to my own advice...for now. lol.

To make matters worse, I bought some chocolate cakes for the family and they're sitting in the cupboard, trying to work their way to my lips. So, after this, I'm going to devour a whole punnet of strawberries, that's right, you heard, a whole punnet. Then I'm going to attack a pear and see if the labelling is correct, that they're ripe and ready to eat. Yea right. 

So officially, I'm still 14 stone and one pound and have lost 12 pounds, but according to my scales this morning I'm under 14 stone, yay. 

This week I'm going to start excersising, exercising, or even ( after looking it up on the internet ) exercising, still doesn't look right. Oh well, moving on. 

I shall be attempting to exercise for ten minutes a day. I won't beat around the bush, I don't won't to do it and it goes agaisnt everything I believe in, but I'm going to attempt it. I had a twenty minute walk along the seafront today so that's todays out of the way. Oh yipeeeeeeeeeee.

What do you call someone who can't stick to their diet?

A desserter.

Hi, my blog is a bit late this week because I had my youngest son down for the weekend, Yay. 

I had a good week last week until Thursday, when my son come down and we ate out. I tried to stick to my healthy eating plan and it seemed to work, although next week may be a bit of a nightmare because we went out to dinner every day until Sunday, so it may show in my weigh-in next week. But back to this week.

Yummy

I found 'Bliss Indulgent Layers Banoffe bars.' A box of five for one pound at 99 calories a bar or 4.5 sins but worth it. 

They taste like the foamy chocolate bananas we used to have when we were kids.

I haven't touched the sugar free chocolate biscuits yet because it may be like eating pringles, when you pop, you can't stop. Although my sister says they are lovely. 


Today I will be attacking the fruit bowl and having a healthy chicken stir fry.

Weight now:           14 stone 1.0 pound
Weight loss:                          1.5 pounds
Total loss so far:                   12  pounds


12Ibs is roughly equivalent to:
1,742 T bags or 69,771 excited bees. I couldn't find many equivalents on the net, so not sure these are right. lol

Yes, you've blown your diet, now forget that day and get back on it the following day. As my diet instructor says, we sit at the meeting with good intentions and then life happens.

Hi, just returned from slimming club, feeling good.

Last week I made sure I wrote everything down that I ate but I must admit, I was waning by Thursday and re-started my healthy eating plan on the Friday.

Although I felt as if I'd done ok.

I've got a sweet tooth so I do include treats in my plan, else be honest, what's the point. 

We all leave the diet club with good intentions but then life gets in the way and we can stray, we just have to get back on it. 

Over the week in order to fulfil my quest for the good stuff, usually known as sweets and cakes, I've been eating sugar free jelly and my old favourites, Pink and whites and Snack a Jacks. So, I thought I'd let you know the calories and sins.

Pink and Whites - 50 calories or 2.5 sins for one.

Snack a Jacks   -  51 calories or 2,5 sins for one.

Of course, I do attack the fruit bowl as much as I can and then eat the above if I need something else. 

I also find a diet coke or pepsi max is great for satisfying those sweety urges. Although don't drink them like there's no tomorrow, as I'm pretty sure the acid isn't good for your tummy, one now and again will be fine. I'm not a doctor, I'm just guessing, based on the fact that if you put a dirty coin in a glass of coke and leave it for a while, you will get a shiny new coin. lol.

I've bought some sugar free chocolate biscuits this week, and I'm going to check them out, so watch this space...

And now for the nitty gritty.

Weight last week:   14stone and five pounds.
Weight this week:   14 stone, two and half pounds.
Weight loss:             2.5 pounds.
Weight loss so far:  10.5 pounds. Yay.

Ten and half pounds is roughly equivalent to:
A gallon of paint, a small dog, a small bowling ball or a small pet cats. 

What a pity it doesn't look like that when it comes off. Although saying that, it would look pretty funny if it did.

Saturday June 4th 2022.


Before I do the weight loss thing, I'll give you an insight into my week. 

Not having seen my youngest son since Christmas we were all looking forward to seeing him and the day before we were due to get him, he rang to say that he couldn't come home because he'd caught covid and was isolating. 

To cut a long story short, that was an excuse to eat a coffee and walnut cake with loads of cream on top.

Then, we've been waiting for a chair to be made and delivered. It was due to get to us by last week. It never came, I complained, and the delivery firm rang and gave me a delivery date, which was yesterday. They reminded me it was coming between certain times and we stayed in. Luckily it was in the morning. 

Then, they rang me the day it was due and said that my chair had been put on the wrong lorry and had gone somewhere else. I said where? He didn't know, yet he knew it had gone somewhere else? I said, how could that happen when it said Dorset on the address. Stale mate, and afraid I was going to yell at him, I put the phone done.

I've emailed the place where the chair came from and said that if I don't get it delivered within the next two weeks, I want my money back. Meanwhile, I've gone on the delivery site and have booked a new delivery for next Saturday. Watch this space.

It's taken a firm three months to make it and now the delivery firm can't get it to me when they say they will. Ugh! ANGRY...Yes. In total, I've been wating four months for my chair, enough is enough.

Then, feeling deflated, it was a four finger orange kit kat day. Since Wednesday, I've not been fully on my healthy eating plan, Cakes and sweets seem to be my new best friend. 

I expect you've gathered, that I'm an emotional eater. I know you're thinking she's making excuses and you're probably right. 

One good thing, having stayed for the meeting, I'm in the right mindset to get back on it. 

Here goes.

Weight last week: 14stone and 5 and half pounds.
Weight this week: 14stone and 5 pounds
Weight gain/loss :  Lost half a pound
Total loss so far  :  8 pounds.

A loss is a loss so I'm happy, but not ecstatic.

My tips.

This week I found 'Tango Dark Berry' sugar free drink, it's lovely and a change from diet coke. 

Just about to tuck into some strawberries.


Thought of the day.

If you eat loads of cakes, it will be harder to kidnap you.

Saturday 28th May 2022


Had the munchies yesterday and the day before but managed to keep on my diet. As it was weigh day today, afterwards, after a lovely river walk, we stopped off and had dinner. I had two sausages and some mushrooms. 

Being the afternoon, the sausages tasted like they'd been keeping warm for four hours and had been put in the fryer to warm up. I thought I was back at school eating my school dinners. Yuk!

What a waste of calories.

In the last few minutes, because I lost some  weight, I had a treat, a four finger orange and chocolate Kitkat. Yummy, only 204 calories.

As I wasted all my calories on my rubbish dinner, I had to buy some strawberries and I will be munching my head off tonight. I'll also be coring my apples. Sometimes, when the corer doesn't cut it enough, I can turn my apple into petal leaves. Have a go, it's better than Origami.

I'm not sure how I'm going to get on next week because my youngest son is coming home and I'll be treating him a lot. Which means, I'll be treating myself too. lol.

So here we go....

Weight last week: 14 stone. 7.5Ibs.
Weight now:          14 stone 5.5Ibs.
Weight loss:                            2Ibs.
Total weight loss:                 7.5Ibs 

Which means, I've lost the weight of a newborn baby or a labrador puppy.

Tips

Always keep lots of fruit in to snack on, or loads of veg. Also, Diet Coke, is a great way to satisfy that urge to have something sweet.

I'm a little late doing my blog this week, It's been a busy week. 

I've been doing well, although today, I did have a fruit scone. However, I did include it in my healthy eating plan. It was wonderful, all fruity, warm and filling. Drool, drool. Yummy.

I've been eating apples like there's no tomorrow and strawberries too. I've gone off pinapple because it gives me reflux. The good thing about apples is, if you cut them into segments, they take forever to chew and after two, you no longer want to eat for at least an hour because your jaw aches.

In order placate my sweet truth, I've been having 'Pink and Whites' and Snack a Jacks at only 50 calories each.

I'm also drinking more diet coke which helps with my sweeet tooth. I've got a can of coke next to me. Trouble is, in my eagerness to have it, I dropped it and have to leave it for a bit incase it fizzes. That's going to be funny. 

So, here's the weight loss news from last Saturday. 

Weight:         14stone 9.5 pounds
Weight now: 14stone 7.5 pounds
Lost:              2 Ibs
Total weight loss so far: 5.5 pounds.

I'm happy with my weight loss and this week, I'm hoping to lose at least 1.5 pounds to get half a stone off. I got on the scales this morning and it looks as if I'm heading that way. 

To be honest, as long as I'm losing or staying the same, I'm happy. I've got an initial goal of 14 stone, then 12 stone and see where I go from there. 

Tips

You should invest in an apple corer, as it cuts them into slices in just one push. 

Also, I love strawberries that come from Kent, they are the sweetest most delicious things ever. I know I'm biased because I used to live there but still, they are beautiful.

Thought of the day:

'Inside us, there's a slim person struggling to get out.' So, 'if that's the case, I won't bother to diet. I'll just hold on until that slim person can find a way out.'
