Saturday 25th June 2022


Hi guys, just a quickie today. Me and my sister didn't go to Slimming Club this week because she has a bad cold and couldn't go. I didn't go either because I was in desperate need of two front tyres. You could say, that I'm 204 pounds lighter because that's how much they cost.

Saying that, my sister weighed herself on her scales and she was two pounds lighter and I weighed on mine and I'd lost about two pounds. Probably one and a half by the time I go to the club. So, next week, there should be a good weight loss for the both of us, providing we stay on track, which I think we will. 

Truthfully, I had a relapse on Wednesday and devoured every low calorie bar I called find. I was craving all night. Then, on Thursday, I shook myself down and started fresh again. Seems I'm listening to my own advice...for now. lol.

To make matters worse, I bought some chocolate cakes for the family and they're sitting in the cupboard, trying to work their way to my lips. So, after this, I'm going to devour a whole punnet of strawberries, that's right, you heard, a whole punnet. Then I'm going to attack a pear and see if the labelling is correct, that they're ripe and ready to eat. Yea right. 

So officially, I'm still 14 stone and one pound and have lost 12 pounds, but according to my scales this morning I'm under 14 stone, yay. 

This week I'm going to start excersising, exercising, or even ( after looking it up on the internet ) exercising, still doesn't look right. Oh well, moving on. 

I shall be attempting to exercise for ten minutes a day. I won't beat around the bush, I don't won't to do it and it goes agaisnt everything I believe in, but I'm going to attempt it. I had a twenty minute walk along the seafront today so that's todays out of the way. Oh yipeeeeeeeeeee.

What do you call someone who can't stick to their diet?

A desserter.

Tuesday 21st June 2022



Hi, my blog is a bit late this week because I had my youngest son down for the weekend, Yay. 

I had a good week last week until Thursday, when my son come down and we ate out. I tried to stick to my healthy eating plan and it seemed to work, although next week may be a bit of a nightmare because we went out to dinner every day until Sunday, so it may show in my weigh-in next week. But back to this week.

Yummy

I found 'Bliss Indulgent Layers Banoffe bars.' A box of five for one pound at 99 calories a bar or 4.5 sins but worth it. 

They taste like the foamy chocolate bananas we used to have when we were kids.

I haven't touched the sugar free chocolate biscuits yet because it may be like eating pringles, when you pop, you can't stop. Although my sister says they are lovely. 


Today I will be attacking the fruit bowl and having a healthy chicken stir fry. 

The results lol

Weight last week:   14 stone 2.5 pounds
Weight now:           14 stone 1.0 pound
Weight loss:                          1.5 pounds
Total loss so far:                   12  pounds


12Ibs is roughly equivalent to:
1,742 T bags or 69,771 excited bees. I couldn't find many equivalents on the net, so not sure these are right. lol

Yes, you've blown your diet, now forget that day and get back on it the following day. As my diet instructor says, we sit at the meeting with good intentions and then life happens.

Saturday 11th June 2022


Hi, just returned from slimming club, feeling good.

Last week I made sure I wrote everything down that I ate but I must admit, I was waning by Thursday and re-started my healthy eating plan on the Friday.

Although I felt as if I'd done ok.

I've got a sweet tooth so I do include treats in my plan, else be honest, what's the point. 

We all leave the diet club with good intentions but then life gets in the way and we can stray, we just have to get back on it. 

Over the week in order to fulfil my quest for the good stuff, usually known as sweets and cakes, I've been eating sugar free jelly and my old favourites, Pink and whites and Snack a Jacks. So, I thought I'd let you know the calories and sins.

Pink and Whites - 50 calories or 2.5 sins for one.

Snack a Jacks   -  51 calories or 2,5 sins for one.

Of course, I do attack the fruit bowl as much as I can and then eat the above if I need something else. 

I also find a diet coke or pepsi max is great for satisfying those sweety urges. Although don't drink them like there's no tomorrow, as I'm pretty sure the acid isn't good for your tummy, one now and again will be fine. I'm not a doctor, I'm just guessing, based on the fact that if you put a dirty coin in a glass of coke and leave it for a while, you will get a shiny new coin. lol.

I've bought some sugar free chocolate biscuits this week, and I'm going to check them out, so watch this space...

And now for the nitty gritty.

Weight last week:   14stone and five pounds.
Weight this week:   14 stone, two and half pounds.
Weight loss:             2.5 pounds.
Weight loss so far:  10.5 pounds. Yay.

Ten and half pounds is roughly equivalent to:
A gallon of paint, a small dog, a small bowling ball or a small pet cats. 

What a pity it doesn't look like that when it comes off. Although saying that, it would look pretty funny if it did.

Saturday June 4th 2022.


Before I do the weight loss thing, I'll give you an insight into my week. 

Not having seen my youngest son since Christmas we were all looking forward to seeing him and the day before we were due to get him, he rang to say that he couldn't come home because he'd caught covid and was isolating. 

To cut a long story short, that was an excuse to eat a coffee and walnut cake with loads of cream on top.

Then, we've been waiting for a chair to be made and delivered. It was due to get to us by last week. It never came, I complained, and the delivery firm rang and gave me a delivery date, which was yesterday. They reminded me it was coming between certain times and we stayed in. Luckily it was in the morning. 

Then, they rang me the day it was due and said that my chair had been put on the wrong lorry and had gone somewhere else. I said where? He didn't know, yet he knew it had gone somewhere else? I said, how could that happen when it said Dorset on the address. Stale mate, and afraid I was going to yell at him, I put the phone done.

I've emailed the place where the chair came from and said that if I don't get it delivered within the next two weeks, I want my money back. Meanwhile, I've gone on the delivery site and have booked a new delivery for next Saturday. Watch this space.

It's taken a firm three months to make it and now the delivery firm can't get it to me when they say they will. Ugh! ANGRY...Yes. In total, I've been wating four months for my chair, enough is enough.

Then, feeling deflated, it was a four finger orange kit kat day. Since Wednesday, I've not been fully on my healthy eating plan, Cakes and sweets seem to be my new best friend. 

I expect you've gathered, that I'm an emotional eater. I know you're thinking she's making excuses and you're probably right. 

One good thing, having stayed for the meeting, I'm in the right mindset to get back on it. 

Here goes.

Weight last week: 14stone and 5 and half pounds.
Weight this week: 14stone and 5 pounds
Weight gain/loss :  Lost half a pound
Total loss so far  :  8 pounds.

A loss is a loss so I'm happy, but not ecstatic.

My tips.

This week I found 'Tango Dark Berry' sugar free drink, it's lovely and a change from diet coke. 

Just about to tuck into some strawberries.

If you eat loads of cakes, it will be harder to kidnap you.
