Saturday 28th May 2022


Had the munchies yesterday and the day before but managed to keep on my diet. As it was weigh day today, afterwards, after a lovely river walk, we stopped off and had dinner. I had two sausages and some mushrooms. 

Being the afternoon, the sausages tasted like they'd been keeping warm for four hours and had been put in the fryer to warm up. I thought I was back at school eating my school dinners. Yuk!

What a waste of calories.

In the last few minutes, because I lost some  weight, I had a treat, a four finger orange and chocolate Kitkat. Yummy, only 204 calories.

As I wasted all my calories on my rubbish dinner, I had to buy some strawberries and I will be munching my head off tonight. I'll also be coring my apples. Sometimes, when the corer doesn't cut it enough, I can turn my apple into petal leaves. Have a go, it's better than Origami.

I'm not sure how I'm going to get on next week because my youngest son is coming home and I'll be treating him a lot. Which means, I'll be treating myself too. lol.

So here we go....

Weight last week: 14 stone. 7.5Ibs.
Weight now:          14 stone 5.5Ibs.
Weight loss:                            2Ibs.
Total weight loss:                 7.5Ibs 

Which means, I've lost the weight of a newborn baby or a labrador puppy.

Tips

Always keep lots of fruit in to snack on, or loads of veg. Also, Diet Coke, is a great way to satisfy that urge to have something sweet.

Thought of the day:

Thursday 26th May 2020


I'm a little late doing my blog this week, It's been a busy week. 

I've been doing well, although today, I did have a fruit scone. However, I did include it in my healthy eating plan. It was wonderful, all fruity, warm and filling. Drool, drool. Yummy.

I've been eating apples like there's no tomorrow and strawberries too. I've gone off pinapple because it gives me reflux. The good thing about apples is, if you cut them into segments, they take forever to chew and after two, you no longer want to eat for at least an hour because your jaw aches.

In order placate my sweet truth, I've been having 'Pink and Whites' and Snack a Jacks at only 50 calories each.

I'm also drinking more diet coke which helps with my sweeet tooth. I've got a can of coke next to me. Trouble is, in my eagerness to have it, I dropped it and have to leave it for a bit incase it fizzes. That's going to be funny. 

So, here's the weight loss news from last Saturday. 

Weight:         14stone 9.5 pounds
Weight now: 14stone 7.5 pounds
Lost:              2 Ibs
Total weight loss so far: 5.5 pounds.

I'm happy with my weight loss and this week, I'm hoping to lose at least 1.5 pounds to get half a stone off. I got on the scales this morning and it looks as if I'm heading that way. 

To be honest, as long as I'm losing or staying the same, I'm happy. I've got an initial goal of 14 stone, then 12 stone and see where I go from there. 

Tips

You should invest in an apple corer, as it cuts them into slices in just one push. 

Also, I love strawberries that come from Kent, they are the sweetest most delicious things ever. I know I'm biased because I used to live there but still, they are beautiful.

Thought of the day:

'Inside us, there's a slim person struggling to get out.' So, 'if that's the case, I won't bother to diet. I'll just hold on until that slim person can find a way out.'

Thursday 19th May 2022

Hum, had a little bit of the munchies yesterday and had to resort to eating 4 caramel Snak a Jacks only 51 calories each.

As well as loads of cartons of sugar free jellies. Only 10 calories each. Actually, it was only two.

Note to myself.

I need to be careful, I can see myself  becoming a little obsessed with calories instead of just eating healthily. The good news, it looks like I've lost a pound or two.

Saturday 14th May


I've recently retired so have been putting on the weight and have decided, for the twenth time, (that might be a little bit of an exagertion lol) that I want to lose weight. So, I'm now back at Slimming club. 


I'm writing this blog for all those who are battling with the flab, or those who want a little giggle. If you've come in here and are slim and beautiful...leave. Just kidding. I was like that when I was twelve. Not the beauty bit. 


I'm an emotional eater so I do struggle a lot, especially as I like cake and coffee, don't we all. This is going to be a weekly blog.


I started last week, so have some news to report.


Previous weight: 14st 13Ibs

Weight now:        14st  9.5Ibs

Lost :                    3.5 pounds

Total lost so far:   3.5 pounds


How am I feeling?

Four pounds would have been nice, you know, just to make it an even number. No seriously, it's the first week and I didn't struggle too much this week, although while writing this blog, I've just devoured a huge bowl of red and green grapes. Yummy, yummy, I'm going to have currants in my tummy.


I've been thinking about doing some exercise, only thinking mind, but it's a start. 


Tip of the day:

Core two apples, then cut them into segments and munch away. Not only will they relieve your hunger, they will stop you from eating for a couple of hours because your jaw will ache.
